Dr. Yu Yu is an inventor and entrepreneur in drug delivery and biomaterial. He has over 14 years experience in biomaterials innovations. He is the key inventor for more than 10 invention disclosures and filed for more than 40 patent applications with inventions licensed to multiple companies. He also has published 11 research articles with more than 320 citation and a hi-index of 9.

Dr. Yu received his BSc in Biology and PhD in Bioengineering (Laboratory of Ying Chau) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and was awarded Overseas High-Caliber Personnel by Shenzhen government.

 

Dr. Andrew Luk brings 27 years medtech industry experience to Pleryon. Before joining Pleryon, Dr. Luk held senior positions in CooperVision Inc. and Johnson & Johnson, where he had extensive product development, technology translation and collaborative alliance experiences. He has been involved in advancing innovative products from concepts to clinical trials (including regulatory submission) for a variety of drug delivery, drug-device combination products and medical devices, with excellent knowledge in quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Dr. Luk received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Delaware.

 

Dr. Sun Zhexun has over 10 years academic experience in biotherapeutic polymer design and engineering. Before joining Pleryon, he is a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University, designing innovative polymers for orthopedics and ophthalmic applications.

Dr. Sun received his B.S from Wuhan University, M.S from Rutgers University and Cornell University, and PhD from Cornell University (Laboratory of David Putnam). He received Cornell Engineering Scale-up Award and was awarded Overseas High-Caliber Personnel by Shenzhen government.
